H1S provides the most up-to-date accurate information on people and services for our partners. We connect people and services with streamlined outreach, data collection, insights, and reporting.

Service providers who partner receive our support assisting those they aim to serve. They and their clients receive full access to our verified network of services. We have free and paid technical assistance, with limited grants that vary.
How do service providers in our network use H1S?
Verified business, government, and non-profit leaders who partner with us are able to receive our network's technical assistance with advanced check-in capabilities that help them grow outreach by improving their user experiences and reputation. Tell me more about the beginnings of H1S
In 2013 we launched a pilot with non-profit medical services providers in Haiti. In 2015, we launched a pilot in DC government officials. In 2023, we launched another pilot supporting small businesses. All of our work continues to grow, and advance our charitable mission to strengthen communities. We are grateful for our growing network and its impact.
Does H1S work in areas other than DC?
Yes! H1S is based in the Washington, D.C. metro, where we serve the local community and others -- as we continue to grow. As of December 2024, we support a fast growing number of partners within 24 communities.
How do I join the H1S network, and does it cost?

Is H1S HIPAA-compliant?
Our system is HIPAA-compliant as all sensitive data is encrypted in transmission and at rest. We use Amazon Web Services, an enterprise solution used by major organizations, to store data securely. Furthermore, our partners get to manage the permissions of who can access their data for added controls and security.
