- What is Hope1Source Check-ins?
- Hope1Source (H1S) Check-ins, also written HopeOneSource, is a set of tools that make it easier to connect resources to people who need them. People opt in. Hope with Love is the 501(c)(3) that operates it.
- What does public safety mean here?
- Preventing harm: cold, heat, storms, service closures, and gaps in care. It does not mean policing. People opt in. Partners own their data. No app is required.
- Who is this website for?
- Public agencies, community providers, trusted access points, funders, and volunteers. Resource guides for food, housing, and other services live at their own pages. They are not a live directory.
- Who is Hope with Love?
- Hope with Love is the legal 501(c)(3) behind Hope1Source Check-ins. Gifts go through Every.org. The procurement line is H1S Check-ins (dba Hope With Love, Inc.), SAM.gov UEI HYQWP496LMJ8, CAGE 77K55, EIN 27-5461163.
- How do providers use it?
- Nonprofits, shelters, and public teams send opt-in alerts, hear back privately, and follow up with people they already serve. Write partnerships@hope1source.me. Teams that already have access log in at the partner portal.
- What is an access point?
- A congregation, library, community center, or food site where people already come. A QR code or kiosk lets a visitor ask for help privately. The team follows up. No app, and no personal data collected for its own sake.
- How do people seeking help take part?
- Through a partner, and only if they opt in. This website does not ask visitors to create a help-seeker account.
- Is there a fee?
- Community members and volunteers can take part without a fee. Organization partnerships are arranged by agreement. A phone carrier can still charge message and data rates. This site does not publish a price.
- Where has this been used?
- The published veterans study covers 30 cities. Weather alerts in this archive are from Washington, D.C., where DC Human Services adopted the alert approach we brought.
- How is personal information handled?
- People opt in. Partners own and control access to their data. Do not name a sensitive service in a text.
- How do I log in, give, or volunteer?
- Log in at the partner portal. Donate on Every.org. Volunteers, providers, access points, and funders can use Get involved or Contact. This site stores nothing from the contact form. It opens an email to partnerships@hope1source.me.
