Chief Executive Officer
Tim founded H1S to help service providers build trust, solve problems, and measure what matters to connect people and resources. A decorated leader—Air Force Reserve officer, Lance Sijan Leader Awardee, Honor Medal recipient, Eagle Scout, 3-year top global IEEE grantee, and Presidential Management Fellow alum—his work spans from scaling national policy at the White House to humanizing care on the streets.
Chief Technology Officer
Frank is a 2025 40 Under 40 honoree, a 2022 National Volunteer In Service to America alumni winner, and the H1S technology lead. He assists with product management and architecture for Check-ins and enjoys solving complex problems that bring positive change to people’s lives.
Community Partnership Lead
Tamecia leads community outreach growth for H1S by managing outreach efforts and identifying key partners to strengthen the communities served. She brings deep experience in partnerships and customer service quality assurance supporting churches, along with small and large service providers.
Data Imagineering Lead
Nick is H1S’s Data Imagineering Lead and a filmmaker who creates short videos for web and broadcast. He uses data and AI responsibly to plan projects and guide creative decisions. He brings extensive experience supporting executive and frontline government and business clients.
Custom Tech Lead
Justin leads custom tech for H1S. He is a public-sector web developer specializing in custom solutions that improve user experiences, including executive KPI data collection. He also coaches engineers and advises leadership on technology stack choices for custom partner support.
Digital Experience Engineer
Veronica is H1S’s Digital Experience Engineer and a digital peer navigator. She creates accessible games and digital experiences that help people take meaningful next steps, complete check-ins, and connect with community resources. Drawing on her software development background and lived experience, she helps others navigate challenges she has faced, building trust and making support easier to access.
Economic Research Analyst
Hugo is H1S’s Economic Research Analyst and holds a Ph.D. in Economics. He uses data to measure nonprofit impact, guide planning, and help organizations use resources effectively.
AI Innovation Analyst
Damien is a doctoral researcher in chemical physics at Harvard and helps H1S implement AI tools that strengthen the communities served. His work spans quantum computing, science policy, case studies, and state legislation.
Volunteer Spotlight
Jeff is a successful alumnus of the H1S team who brings lived experience to his work. He now helps nonprofits set up customer relationship management (CRM) systems for easier management.
Senior Advisor
Tom is a retired senior fellow and professor at Duke University's highly selective leadership school, with a focus in human-centered design. He previously held a Secretary level appointment, where he spearheaded the Veterans Experience Officer at the Department of Veterans Affairs to understand, design and measure Veteran experience. It continues to result in unprecedented quality improvements for the second largest U.S. government agency. Prior, he served in Asia and Europe for over 20 years, where he launched McDonald's in France and led it to be the highest grossing market outside of the USA. You can find him enjoying his newly built dream home with his wife in Durham, NC, along with his visiting children and grandkids. Tom is a senior advisor to the H1S team as it relates to strategic direction.
