In 60 days, H1S supported 3,100 check-in interactions in central Alaska, helping the military and veteran community connect with more than 27 services, including mental health support. The purpose was to encourage service members and veterans to complete wellness activities that support their health.
Working with the senior Air Force installation commander and local military and veteran service organizations, H1S extended outreach across the entire Air Force base. Check-ins gave people a simple way to share their needs and find support.
H1S sent participants text messages linking to games designed to take 15 seconds or less. The games highlighted local counseling and mental health providers alongside available national services. A memory-matching game aimed to make those services easier to recognize and remember. H1S reported a 68% game completion rate during the pilot.
The pilot concluded in September 2026. H1S reports that many supporting organizations are eager to continue. The results give senior military and veteran leadership a basis to evaluate next steps.
