With temperatures hovering below freezing, D.C. is ramping up efforts to make sure people who need shelter can find it. Last winter, there were six reported hypothermia deaths in D.C. and two of the deceased were homeless. City officials are hoping to avoid more deaths by spreading the word about local shelter options.
